FULL GRACE

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." (John 1:14 KJV)

We saw yesterday that whereas some folks have thought that grace was not in the Old Testament, we can seen from the word of God that grace was in the Old Testament, yet it was available in limited measure and it was this "limited grace" that brought the Old Testament folks into relationship with God.

Now at the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, something remarkable happened. And that's what we have in our devotional text: "And the Word was made

flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) FULL OF GRACE and truth." Thus, whereas the Old Testament Patriarchs enjoyed "limited grace," Apostle John introduces Jesus as the Son of God who was full of Grace and truth, Glory to God! Hallelujah! Thus, Jesus came as full grace and also functioned as full grace.

And this ended the era of limited grace for all those who come to believe in Him. And this was also the reason for the great works which He accomplished as a man. And Apostle John stresses this argument in John 3:34 that He was the only one who had the full measure of the Spirit, from his birth. And this still speaks of this full grace as opposed to the "limited grace" which they had in the Old Testament until Jesus manifestation or birth. Glory to God! Hallelujah!

 Prayer/Confession

Heavenly Farther,I thank You for the manifestation of Your Son Jesus Christ, my Lord and Saviour, who is full grace. I declare that I walk in the fullness of Your grace in Jesus name. Amen!
