THE RICHES OF CHRIST
"For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich." (2 Corinthians 8:9 KJV)
The word of God says that, for we know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for our sakes he became poor that we through his poverty might become rich. Hallelujah!
Some religious herper spiritual people try to limit this scripture to mere salvation or spiritual blessings like righteousness, holiness, peace, etc.
But in as much as that is true, it is not only limited to these spiritual blessings, because the context with which Apostle Paul was speaking in 2 Corinthians 8, was giving and actually giving of physical substance and not the spiritual virtues like righteousness, holiness, peace, etc. that we have received in Christ.
Also in Colossians 1:16-18, when he spoke of the riches of Christ, he indicated that these riches include both visible and invisible things, thrones, dominions and everything that has been created both in heaven and on earth, physical or spiritual.
And all these things are what we received from Christ Jesus as the package of our salvation, and the very riches of Christ, that we are all supposed to walk in, to the Glory of God.
And we walk in these riches by the wisdom that He has giving us, our diligence in all our works and our giving which is the demonstration of our riches.
Glory to God! Hallelujah!
Prayer/Declaration
Heavenly Father, I thank You for blessing me with the very riches of Christ. I declare that I walk in my full consciousness of these riches in Jesus name. Amen!
