COMMON GRACE AND THE JUDGEMENT
"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; 19. Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them..." (Romans 1:18-19, KJV)
We've seen that common grace is the blessing which God causes both sinners and the righteous to enjoy together. These blessing like the sun, rain, natural fruitful, the gift of life, etc. are embedded in nature, so that any body can take advantage of them and enjoy them.
We've also seen that the purpose of God concerning common grace is to demonstrate His love unto the universe so that the sinners will recognize Him and accept His gift of salvation in Christ Jesus so that they can enjoy greater dimension of His blessing.
Nevertheless, common grace does not exonerate the sinner from eternal judgement. Thus, whiles God is showing the entire universe such love by what we enjoy from common grace, there is a greater dimension of grace which only the righteous can enjoy and a greater part of this blessing will be enjoyed after our lives on this earth, whereas the unrighteous or sinners who still did not allow common grace or the preaching of the gospel to lead them to salvation will face the fierce some judgment of the same God who showered such blessings upon them, and yet they refused to honor and serve Him. This is what Apostle Paul through our opening text communicates that sinners are not excused from the wrath or judgement of God which awaits them because God has revealed Himself unto them by the kindness He shows them through His common grace.
