BE NOT ASHAMED OF THE TESTIM..

BE NOT ASHAMED OF THE TESTIMONY OF THE LORD

"Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God" (2 Timothy 1:8 KJV)

There is that tendency of Christians becoming ashamed of the testimony of the Lord, especially when they see some spiritual leaders go through some challenges or they themselves face some challenges

These challenges sometimes make some of these Christians to look down on themselves, these spiritual leaders or even the purpose of God for themselves and even try to kill people's passion for testifying about the Lord unto others

This was what Apostle Paul cautioned Timothy on when he was going through challenges as a young pastor in Ephesus and his father Paul was also in house arrest in Rome.

Thus, Apostle Paul cautioned him that despite the situation that he found himself, he should not be ashamed of the testimony of the Lord nor of him, Paul. But should rather partake of the afflictions or challenges of the gospel by the power of God.

Thus, this kind of affliction pertained unto the gospel. In other words what both Paul and Timothy were facing were things that came upon them because of their passion for the gospel and these were things they had to go through as a demonstration of their love for God, but it took the power of God for them to endure such afflictions and still be passionately involved in the preaching of the gospel.

So as a child of God, irrespective of what you face for the sake of the gospel of Christ, never be ashamed of it, but passionately preach it everywhere you find yourself and God will be mightily glorified in your life in Jesus name. Amen!

Prayer/Declaration
Heavenly father, I thank you for the opportunity to preach the gospel. I declare that I'm not ashamed of the gospel of Christ but I preach it everywhere to the Glory of God in Jesus name. Amen!
