"Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses." (1 Timothy 6:12 KJV)

The word of God says we are to fight the good fight of faith, we should lay hold on eternal life whereunto we have been called and have professed a good profession before many witnesses.

Thus as christians we have been called unto eternal life. This is the purpose of God for us. To have eternal life. All other things that we pursue are only secondary or mere bonuses.

As a christian God has not called you unto your marriage, family, job, business, finances, academic, relationship, travelling, or any other thing apart of eternal life, though all these things are very good. They are not the core purpose that God has for us. Our core purpose or mandate is to have eternal life. All these other things are secondary or mere bonuses to God's purpose for our lives.

And the devil knowing this also focuses on how best he can make us lose that eternal life. But of course his strategy is always to begin by attacking some of these secondary matters of our life in order to get to the very core of our existence which is the eternal life we have in Christ Jesus. But we are not ignorant of his devices. (2 Corinthians 2:11)

And this is why Apostle Paul emphasized by the Holy Spirit, that whiles we fight the good fight of faith, we should ensure we are holding unto eternal life. We should never lose focus of our own eternal life. Hallelujah!

So as a christian always ensure to guard against any form of influence which will affect your core purpose which is the eternal life you have in Christ Jesus, and hold tenaciously unto the same as you navigate your destiny path on this earth by fighting the good fight of faith to the Glory of God in Jesus name. Amen!

Prayer/Declaration
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the gift of eternal life that You have given me. I declare that I hold unto this eternal life whereunto You have called me and my life brings You all the Glory as I fight the good fight of faith in Jesus name. Amen!
