CEASE FROM YOUR OWN WORKS

'For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his." (Hebrews 4:10 KJV) Usually you see people complaining about what they do, either in their families, their secular work, or even what they do in the house of God This is simply because these folks have not had right understanding of the reason for their work. To them, they think that they are doing something for another person for which they are to be paid for and this is why they always complain that the work that they do far outweighs what they physically get from that work.

Working with such an attitude makes that work that you do to be by your own efforts and and not by the grace of God and this affects your morale for the work and it begins to stress you. And that's always the reason for the complaints. But the right attitude that we should have about our work is that it's an opportunity for us to express the gracious work which God is doing in and through us, so that, that work actually becomes the manifestation of His own grace in us. By this attitude you cease from your own works and you enter into the rest of God where you actually operate fully by His grace in and through you, in every area of your life in Jesus name. Amen!

Prayer/Confession

Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your grace that operates through my work and everything that I do for humanity. I declare that I cease from my own works and rest in Your gracious work through me, as you Express Yourself through the channel of my life in Jesus name. Amen!
