For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." (Ephesians 2:10 KJV) We've learnt that our righteousness is by our faith in the Lord Jesus and not by our own good works.

But this does not mean that good works are not necessary or important. In actual sense, one of the reasons why God made us righteous is to enable us to do good works. Hallelujah! And this is what our devotional text for today is teaching us. The word of God says we were created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God had preordained that we should walk in them. Hallelujah!

Thus, the reason why God re-created us in righteousness is to enable us to do good works. Now let's understand this in the right perspective. God desires us to demonstrate good works, but in our state of sin we could not demonstrate those good works to please Him, and then He dealt with our sins and made us righteous in Him, so that those good works that we do, becomes pleasing unto Him. Hallelujah!

So our righteousness which is in our spirit must be manifested in good works in our bodies and physical lives to the Glory of God in Jesus name. Amen!

Prayer/Declaration

Heavenly Father, I thank You for recreating me in Christ Jesus unto good works. I declare that I'm empowered by Your Spirit to walk in every good work You have ordained for me in Jesus name. Amen!
