DO AS UNTO THE LORD AND NOT...
DO AS UNTO THE LORD AND NOT UNTO MEN
"And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men." (Colossians 3:23 KJV)
The misunderstanding that some Christians have had concerning their secular jobs make them handle them with less diligence as they handle other things they regard as spiritual.
What these folks have not understood is that their secular jobs and businesses are also spiritual which must be handled with all diligence.
This is why the word of God says whatever you do, do as unto the Lord and not unto men. And the verses that follow declare that for it is from the Lord that you will receive your reward. Glory to God! Hallelujah!
One reason that makes some Christians not to attach seriousness unto their secular jobs and other engagements is because they think they are doing them for men, that is their secular Bosses, but the word of God makes us to understand that whatever we do, we do to and for the Lord, and it is from the Lord that we will receive our reward. Glory to God!
So your secular Boss may be troublesome, but look beyond him and see the bigger picture which is God as your Boss, who has given you that opportunity to be blessing unto the world by that job that you do. And He will be the one to immensely reward you. Praise the Lord! Hallelujah!
Prayer/Declaration Heavenly Father, I thank You for giving me the right perspective I should have about my job. I declare that I do my work heartily as unto You and I receive my gracious reward from You in Jesus name. Amen!
