DON'T ALLOW YOURSELF TO BE DESPISED

"Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity." (1 Timothy 4:12 KJV)

The system of the world is such that people can look down on anybody that they do not really understand His or her value. Thus, for people to treat you with respect and celebrate you, they must see your worth or value.

This is why Apostle Paul told Timothy his son that he should not let any man despise his youth, but be an example unto the believers in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith and in purity.

Thus, according to Apostle Paul, there is that natural tendency for people to despise the youth of Timothy, but this is something that Timothy himself must prevent. And Timothy is not going to do this by boasting unto the people that he is their pastor, but by the example that he set forth. And he was to set forth that example by putting the gifts or abilities of God in him at work.

Thus, it is by what we do that prevents people from despising us. And it by these same things that we do that cause people to accord us the respect and honour that they are to give us.

And this is achieve by putting the gifts of God in us to work. This will cause others to see our worth or value and accordingly give us the respect and honour that they are to give unto us in Jesus name. Amen!

Prayer/Declaration
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the wisdom You've given me not to allow myself to be despised by leading an exemplary life. I declare that I lead this exemplary life by putting Your gifts in me to work and I indeed command the respect of all people in Jesus name. Amen!
