DON'T BE WISE IN YOUR OWN EYES

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. 7. ¶Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil." (Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV)

One major issue that challenges people and hinders them from wholly trusting God is their wisdom in their own eyes.

People's own perception that they are wise in themselves makes them to do things on their own without consulting God or prioritizing Him.

Many Christians have fallen victims to this deception. Usually in any decision that they ought to make or anything that they are pursuing, they usually begin on their own without any divine consultations and when they are challenged in midway, it is there that they begin to seek the face of God. And whilst in some cases turning back is possible, in some other situations it becomes very difficult or seemingly impossible to turn back and such people only end up fulfilling a certain good or acceptable will of God and not His perfect will for them.

This is why the word of God says, we should not be wise in our own eyes, we should fear the Lord and depart from evil. Praise the Lord! Hallelujah!

The word of God says the Lord takes the wise in their own craftiness (1 Corinthians 3:19). Thus, anytime that we set our hearts to do anything in disregard of the counsel of God, just because we think we are wise or strategic, we should just know that, it only becomes a trap or snare of the devil against us. Thus, we should always endeavour to seek the face of God in all our dealing as a demonstration of our trust in Him and He will surely direct our paths from victory to victory in Jesus name. Amen!

Prayer/Declaration
Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your Spirit of counsel that operates in me. I declare that I'm not wise in my own eyes but always follow after Your divine counsel for my life, as you lead me from victory to victory in Jesus name. Amen!
