DON'T ENTANGLE YOURSELF WITH CIVILIAN AFFAIRS

"No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier." (2 Timothy 2:4 KJV)

The word of God says no man that engages in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, so that he will be able to please the one who has chosen him as a soldier.

The affairs of this life are the civilian affairs or attachments which have the tendency of making the soldier emotionally weak if he has not built enough tenancy or stamina for himself. They are the things that can make him easily compromise and jeopardize his appointed mission.

This can be His family relations, friends, some business that he is involved in, money, or any other thing that pertain to the civilian life.

Usually the strategy of any enemy is to take advantage of these affairs that the soldier is connected with to make him compromise on his assignment.

For instance, a soldier who hears that the enemy has kidnapped his family will be faced with the challenge of agreeing with some terms with the enemy for the security of his kidnapped family and this can make him compromise on his mission.

So  a good soldier reduces his entanglement with civilian affairs so that he can be focused on his mission and please his master by the accomplishment of that mission. Glory to God! Hallelujah!

Prayer/Declaration
Heavenly Father, I thank you for enlisting me into Your army. I declare that as a good soldier, I do not entangle myself with civilian affairs and I please you in every mission you have appointed for me in Jesus name. Amen!
