ENDURE HARDNESS AS A GOOD ...

ENDURE HARDNESS AS A GOOD SOLDIER OF THE LORD

"Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ." (2 Timothy 2:3 KJV)

In the word of God, the church is represented by various images depending on what function of the church the word is describing.

One of such images is that the church is the army of God on earth. And as an army every member of the Church is a soldier for the Lord.

And just as we know in the natural, civilians have their own capacities of endurance and soldiers too have their own capacities of endurance due to the training they have yielded themselves unto.

It is from this that Apostle Paul counsels Timothy his son and everyone of us that as good soldiers we have to endure hardness for the Lord so that we can fulfil the task that the Lord has appointed for us.

Without that virtue of endurance, we cannot stand and fight to the end of our course. This is why every child of God must yield to the hard training of the spirit and our spiritual leaders, which are not intended to break us down but to build capacities in us so that we can fight and finish our battle and course, as expected of us by God our Heavenly Father and our Lord Jesus Christ our Commander in Chief. Glory to God! Hallelujah!

Prayer/Declaration
Heavenly Father, I thank You for enlisting me into Your army. I declare that I endure hardness as Your good soldier and I bring You all the Glory even as I finish my course in Jesus name. Amen!
