"Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses." (1 Timothy 6:12 KJV)

We've learnt that the church among other things is also God's army on this earth, and every member of the church is therefore a soldier for the Lord. Hallelujah!

So one major question regarding this reality of the church is what do soldiers do? The obvious answer is that they fight. So if I am a soldier for the Lord, what am I supposed to be doing? I'm supposed to be fighting for the Lord. Hallelujah!

It is to this effect that Apostle Paul by the Holy Spirit charges Timothy and everyone of us to fight the good fight of faith.

So as a Christian, there is a battle that the Lord has appointed for you to fight. A war that He has appointed for you to wage. And He says, this fight is a good fight of faith. Hallelujah

This fight being a good fight implies that it is a fight ordained for your advantage. A fight that the outcome or result is good for you. A fight that you cannot fail, because it has already been fought by our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, who has already won the victory for us. Hallelujah!

So what ever you are pursuing in this life, know that the Lord has already won the victory over that thing for you and your own warfare is enforcing that victory in your life to see the full manifestation of that victory in your personal life and to enjoy all the blessings that are consistent with that victory that has already been given to you in Christ Jesus our Lord. Hallelujah! Glory to God!

Prayer/Declaration
Heavenly Father, I thank You for appointing me as a soldier in Your kingdom. I declare that I fight the good fight of faith and enforce the victory You won for me through Christ Jesus my Lord and walk in the full benefits and blessings of that victory in Jesus name. Amen!
