"And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness." (Romans 8:10 KJV) The word of God says if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the spirit is life because of righteousness (Romans 8:10). Hallelujah!

This scripture describes the state of the man that is born again. The word of God says his body is dead because of sin, but his spirit is alive because of righteousness. Note that when a person gets born again, it is his spirit that is recreated and not his body. The born again experience does not occur in a person's body but in his spirit, which is the true man.

And this is why Apostle Paul by the Holy Ghost makes this emphasis that the spirit of everybody that is in Christ or born gain is life or alive because it has been delivered from sin and death and made the very righteousness of God, but this experience did not occur in the body, and so the body still remains in a dead state because of the sin that is still in the body which was not immediately made righteous.

But the original agenda of God is for the spirit to infuse the body with his life and righteousness by bringing the body under subjection unto the spirit that is born again, and it's the Holy Spirit of God who actually empowers the spirit of man to be able to bring under control his body, so that the life and righteousness of God is lived out by the man's spirit through his body which becomes subject unto the spirit. Glory to God! Hallelujah!

Prayer/Declaration

Heavenly Father, I thank you for giving me a deeper understanding of the state of the man in Christ. I declare that my spirit is alive unto God because of righteousness; and I'm empowered by the Holy Spirit to demonstrate or live out my life of righteousness from my spirit through my body in Jesus name. Amen!
