MEDITATE ON THESE THINGS

"Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all." (Timothy 4:15 KJV)

Concerning nurturing and operating the gifts of God in us, it's not just about rising to do something, but it first of all involves the process of meditation.

Notice that before the word of God said "give thyself wholly to them," the word first declared that "meditate upon these things." And most times the word of God places meditation before action. That is before the word of God will instruct you to perform any act, it first of all instructs you to meditate upon that act before you begin to implement or practice it.

We have a similar scripture in Joshua 1:8, where Joshua too was instructed to meditate upon the word before doing it.

To meditate means to ponder or mutter, but usually the two are employed in the meditation process, which begins with pondering or thinking about a matter and then speaking softly about it and then screaming it out  as we do in intensive prayers.

Meditation is not merely thinking which is just done with your mind only, but it's a process that involves your whole being: your body, soul, and spirit. And it is this process that releases the spiritual abilities of God in you, so that you are able to operate with them as the gifts of the Spirit in and through you as a Son or daughter of God. Glory to God! Hallelujah!

Prayer/Declaration
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the instruction You have given me concerning meditation. I declare that I meditate upon Your divine abilities in me and I am filled with all grace to operate them fully in every area of my life in Jesus name. Amen!
