MINISTERIAL GRACE

"But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me." (1 Corinthians 15:10 KJV) Whereas we have the general saving grace which brings salvation unto people, we also have ministerial grace, which is given specifically for the fulfilment of our ministries.

This was the specific kind of grace that Apostle Paul referred to in our devotional text in 1 Corinthians 15:10, for which He said, it was by that grace that He was who He was by his apostolic calling. Note that there has been places where he spoke of the general saving grace as in Ephesian 2:8 and Galatians 2:20-21, but reading our devotional text 2 Corinthians 15:10 in context, we see that the grace that he was referring to was grace for ministry or ministerial grace which made him one of the Apostles.

And concerning this ministerial grace he declared that he laboured more abundantly than all the other Apostles, yet it was not by his own strength, but the grace, ability or the operation of God which was at work in him. Glory to God! In like manner know that for every ministerial responsibility or assignment that God has given you, He has also given you ministerial grace for its accomplishment, so that it will not be by your own effort to accomplish such ministerial responsibility or assignment but by the working of God's grace in and through you to the Glory of God. Hallelujah!

Prayer/Declaration Heavenly Father I thank You for the grace you have given me to fulfil my ministry. I declare that I fully yield to the operation of this ministerial grace within me and l yield tremendous results in my ministry even as I abour more abundantly with this grace in Jesus mighty name. Amen!
