NO MORE LATENESS
"And they went into Capernaum; and straightway on the sabbath day he entered into the synagogue, and taught." (Mar 1:21 KJV)
We've been looking at the importance of urgency in fulfilling our ministries, especially in our soul winning endeavours. And we've seen from the Gospel of Mark that this urgency was one of the characteristics of Jesus's ministry that made Him to finish His ministry on earth early.
And yesterday we saw that urgency implies doing things without delays. And doing things without delays prevent lateness which also happens to be the challenge of some Christian folks. Even though it ought not to be so!
And just as delaying in ones ministry causes a delay in other aspect of a person's life, so does lateness also prevent one from achieving the heights that God has appointed for him in various areas of his life.
But most people have not really understood these things and this is why they treat lateness in their dealings with God as a normal thing.
The question is how many offices will tolerate continuous lateness of their officers without any caution to them? And just as lateness is never tolerated in our secular endeavours, so does God frowns on it.
But many people who are consistently late in carrying out their responsibility with God are most times not conscious of this divine displeasure of God about it and that's how come lateness continues without a rigorous effort to adjust.
So just as our Lord Jesus Christ fulfilled His ministry without lateness, we should also rise to fulfill our own without lateness, but with urgency, knowing that God is counting on us to finish on time and to finish well. Glory to God! Hallelujah!
Prayer/Declaration
Heavenly Father, I thank You for revealing unto me the significance of fulfilling my ministry without lateness. I declare that I'm filled with the grace of punctuality and I operate with the grace of divine speed in my ministry and every area of my life in Jesus name. Amen!
