NOT IGNORANT OF THE DEVICES...
NOT IGNORANT OF THE DEVICES OF SATAN
"Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices." Corinthians 2:11 KJV)
We have seen from the word of God that God has called us unto eternal life and that by our fight of faith we are to be holding unto this life, by placing premium value on it as compared to every other pursuit we may be having in this world.
Thus, this eternal life should be the anchor or foundation upon which we build any other aspect of our life. Don't trade your gift of eternal life or salvation for any other thing for it is not worth it.
But beloved, this is the temptation we will face from the enemy throughout our life's journey on this earth. First this is the main device, strategy or schemes of Satan and you cannot afford to be ignorant of it, just as Apostle Paul said by the Spirit, we are not ignorant of the devices of Satan. Glory to God! Hallelujah!
This is the same schemes he deployed against the Old Testament patriarchs and it was the same that he tried on our Lord Jesus Christ in his temptation of Him (Luke 4:5-8). And it is the same device he will try on everyone of us.
For just as he told our Lord Jesus to bow down and worship him and he will give him this world and all the kingdoms and glory of the same, so does he confront us with these thought. And just as our Lord Jesus Christ overcame him by His knowledge of the word, so it will take our knowledge of God's word to consistently overcome the devil in everyone of these His temptations.
And this was why Apostle Paul said, for we are not ignorant of the devices of Satan. So irrespective of the temptations that the devil brings your way, never be ignorant of his devices and use your knowledge of the word to put him where he belongs in Jesus name. Amen!
Prayer/Declaration
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the knowledge You have given me concerning the devices of Satan. I declare that I consistently reign over everyone of these devices by the power of Your word in Jesus name. Amen!
