"And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:" (Joel 2:28 KJV)

Prophet Joel prophesied that when the Holy Spirit is poured on us, He will cause our old men to dream dreams and our young men and women to see visions.

This implies that whiles both old men and young men can dream dreams, dreams pertain more to old men and not young men.

And this is because old men are seemingly physically weak and they are to spend more time sleeping as a form of rest for them. Since they are to be resting or sleeping more, the Holy Spirit's engagement with them will definitely be more of dreams which are visions that are received whilst one is asleep.

This is why the word of God says our old men will dream dreams and our young men and women will see vision.

Nevertheless the Holy Spirit still communicates to young men and women too through dreams. So whether you are old or young, the Holy Spirit can communicate to you through dreams, so be sensitive always unto Him and yield to the directions He gives to you through your dreams; and always remember to subject the same to the word of God for confirmation. Glory to God! Hallelujah!

Prayer/Declaration
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the opportunity to be directed by Your Spirit in me through dreams. I declare that I yield to the leadings of the Spirit through my dreams in Jesus name. Amen!
