ONE WITH THE SPIRIT OF GOD

"But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit." (1 Corinthians 6:17 KJV)

In our recent devotions we've been looking that how the Holy Spirit equips our bodies from within our spirit as presented by Apostle Paul in Romans 8.

One question that a person may ask is that, we've been talking about our own spirit in us, which is the real us, our bodies being the home of our spirit (2 Corinthians 5:1), we've also been talking about the Holy Spirit or God's Spirit within us, and the same body being the home or temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19), does that mean that now we have two spirits in us or is the Holy Spirit within us the same as our own spirit?

Our devotional text gives the answer to this question. The word of God says: "but he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit." Hallelujah!

Thus, the day that you got born again and received the Holy Spirit in the inside of you, the Holy Spirit actually mingled with your own spirit and the two became one spirit operating from within you and expressing themselves as one spirit in and through your mind and your body to the Glory of God in Jesus name. Amen!

Prayer/Declaration

Heavenly Father, I thank You for the Gift of Your Spirit within me, who has actually become one with my ownSpirit. I declare that I constantly yield to the leadership of the Holy Spirit in Jesus name. Amen!
