PATIENCE IN SOUL WINNING
"Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine." (2 Timothy 4:2 KJV)
The word of God says that we should preach the word, being instant in season and out of season. We should reprove, rebuke, and exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. Hallelujah!
From this scripture we see that there are two things which are very essential with our preaching of the gospel. These are longsuffering and doctrine.
The significance of these two words is attested to by the adjective that qualifies it, "all."
Thus, for a person to preach the gospel and win souls out of his preaching, he will need all longsuffering and doctrine. Hallelujah!
Longsuffering is from the Greek word 'makrothumia,' which means patience, endurance or fortitude. Thus, for you to be a preacher of the gospel who will be winning souls, you need "all patience, all endurance, or all fortitude." Hallelujah!
This is because sometimes souls tend to be stubborn, but as the old saying goes, persistence breaks resistance. So for you to win certain souls you require not just partial or some patience, but all patience.
So make up your mind not to give up on any soul, rather persist in your preaching of the gospel to the people that the Lord appoints for you to reach out unto. With all patience in your soul winning endeavours, you will indeed move mountains in your soul winning endeavours and bring great joy to heaven as you see seemingly stubborn souls give their lives to Christ. Glory to God! Hallelujah!
Prayer/Declaration
Heavenly Father, I thank You for reminding me of my need for all patience in my soul winning endeavour. I declare that I preach indeed with all patience and consistently bring great joy to Heaven as I win multitudes into the kingdom of God in Jesus name. Amen!
