PERFECTED FOR GLORY

"And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12. For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ." (Ephesians 4:11 KJV)

We learnt yesterday that the various ministeral offices of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers are for the perfecting of the saints. And we further saw that the word perfecting is from the Greek word, kartatismos which means to completely furnish or dress up completely for beauty and for service in the ministry.

Now our dressing up or complete furnishing for beauty refers to the work that God through our man of God or these ministry offices do in our lives for us to walk in the glory of God. Hallelujah!

The church is the glory of God in this generation and every Christian is the glory of God and we are to show forth that glory in a continously increasing measure. But the extend to which we shine or show forth that glory is dependent on how we are dressed or beautified. And whereas we were beautified as the glory of God in our spirit by our experience of salvation, that beautification must be seen on the outside and that is what God through the ministry of our man of God or these ministry offices do for us.

It's our responsibility to draw out that glory or virtue from our spirit through various spiritual exercises of studying, meditations, prayers, fastings, service, fellowship, giving, etc. And our man of God is ordained for us to help us to effectively do these things. And as He helps us to do them our lives are continously beautified and we begin to display the glory of God in greater dimensions in Jesus name. Amen!

Prayer/Declaration
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the gift of my man of God whom you have given to dress me up for my glorification. I declare that as I consistently yield to the ministry of my man of God I'm fully dressed up with beauty and I display the glory of God in a continiously increasing dimensions in Jesus name. Amen!
