PREACH THE WORD

"Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine." (2 Timothy 4:2, KJV)

We've seen that it takes the preaching of the word for faith to be stirred up in people for them to access saving grace. Thus, without the preaching of the word or the gospel of Christ no soul can be save. And this is why the preaching of the gospel is very paramount in the kingdom of God.

And we saw that it was a vital part of Jesus's ministry on earth (Matthew 9:35), as well as that of the apostles (Mark 16:20). And in 2 Timothy 1: 1-2, Paul charges his son Timothy to preach the word, and emphasized for him to preach it, both in season and out of season. Now in this scripture, we see that Apostle Paul did not just advice or admonish Timothy to preach, but he charges or commands him before God and our Lord Jesus to do this work of preaching.

Why? Because it takes the preaching of the gospel for people to be saved and until those of us who have already accessed this saving grace preach no other person can also access this saving grace that we have already receive. And this is why the preaching of the gospel must be a priority in the life of every child of God. Hallelujah!

Prayer/Confession

Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your charge which has come to me today, to preach the word in season and out of season. From today I prioritize the preaching of the gospel in my life and I'm filled with all grace to do so in Jesus name. Amen!
