SAVING GRACE IS BY FAITH
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:" (Ephesians 2:8, KJV)
The word of God says we are saved by grace through faith and that not of ourselves. It is the gift of God. Hallelujah! Thus, the grace that brought us salvation became effective or operative in us by faith, which is our trust or confidence in God.
Now, what does the word mean by we being saved by grace through faith. The word is teaching us how salvation is received. Salvation is given unto us by God's grace, but it's by faith that we access or receive that salvation.
And this is what the Holy Ghost through Apostle Paul revealed in Romans 10:8-10 that "But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; 9. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
Thus, this faith by which we are saved is our confession of the Lordship of Jesus Christ and our believe that God raised Him from the dead. Glory to God! Halleluah!
Prayer/Confession
Heavenly Father, I thank you for grace that brought me salvation through the faith you stirred in me. I declare that I am strengthened in my faith in Jesus Christ. Amen!
