SAVING GRACE

"For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men"  (Titus 2:11, KJV). The word of God declares that the grace of God which bringeth salvation has appeared unto all men. Thus whiles the word of God identifies common grace which is the grace that all men enjoy whether they are saved or not, the word of God also declares that there is a "saving grace," which is the grace of God which bring salvation unto men according to Titus 2:11.

And it was this grace that Apostle Paul spoke of in Ephesians 2:8, that we are saved by grace through faith and that not of ourselves it is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast. This saving grace is the work that God performs in the spirit or heart of a person when he puts his faith in Jesus Christ by confessing Him as His Lord and believing in his heart that God raised Him from the dead according to Romans 10:9-10.

And this work of God in the person recreates him completely so that he becomes a new creation  in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:17), born as a child of God (John 1:12) in righteousness and true holiness (Ephesians 4:24), and thus possessing the very life and nature of God (John 3:16), so that he can call God Abba Father (Galatians 4:6), and so has access to all the spiritual blessing of God (Ephesians 1:3), which those who have not received this saving grace cannot enjoy, even though they still enjoy the natural blessings of God embedded in nature as common grace.
