"And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever; 17. Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you." (John 14:16-17 KJV)

One theological argument that has persistent throughout the history of the Church is who sends the Holy Spirit? Is it God the Father or Jesus Christ the Son?

Different theologians from their respective backgrounds have expressed their understanding of this. But the word of God makes us to understand that both God the Father and the Son send Him.

In our devotional text, our Lord Jesus Christ expressed this reality by saying that, He would pray or ask the Father for the Father to send the Holy Spirit unto us.

Thus, both the Son and Father were involved in the sending process and work of the Holy Spirit. And they sent Him for Him to bring us their presence. So that receiving the Holy Spirit implies receiving the presence of both the Father and the Son, who fill us with their power and blessing by the presence of the Holy Spirit (John 14:23-26. Glory to God! Hallelujah!

Prayer/Declaration
Heavenly Father, I thank You for sending Your precious Holy Spirit into my heart in the name of Jesus Christ. I declare that I'm fully filled with your power and blessing by the presence of the Holy Spirit in me and I do great and mighty exploits in every area of my life in Jesus name. Amen
