SIN AND WEIGHT

"Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us" (Hebrews 12:1 KJV)

The word of God says that because we are encompassed or surrounded with a great cloud of witness, we should lay aside every weight and sin that easily beset us and run with patience the race that is set before us. Hallelujah!

We've all had a common understanding of this scripture. And this is that our destinies are a race that God has marked out for us. And in this race there are two things which slow us down. These are sin and weight.

And whereas sin refers to anything that we do that God does not approve, weight may not necessarily be something wrong, but it's something that still slows us down in this our race of destiny set before us by God.

But because they both have the same negative effect on us which is to slow us down in our race of destiny, we are to put both away, so that we can run with patience the race of destiny which has been set before us in Jesus name. Amen!

Prayer/Declaration
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the understanding You've have given me concerning sin and weight. I declare that I put away every sin and weight that easily beset me and I run with patience the race marked out for me in Jesus name. Amen!
