SIT DOWN!

"That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive." (Ephesians 4:14 KJV)

Our devotional text makes us to understand that spiritual babies or children are those who are moved to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive.

Now notice that the word of God says these children are carried about by the sleight of men and cunning craftiness whereby they lie in wait to deceive.

Thus, because these children do not know how to sit down under the ministration of their spiritual father or shepherd, but rather move to and fro, they become victims of the sleight or fraud of men, even the cunning craftiness by wicked persons who masquerade as men of God and intentionally schemes to deceive these children out of the faith, or the true purpose or counsel of God for their lives, or the inheritance that God has given them in Christ Jesus.

But how can these children overcome these deceptive schemes of men? They can do this by simply sitting down under the ministry of their shepherd who will feed them with knowledge and understanding (Jeremiah 3:15).

And this was why our Lord Jesus Christ before feeding the five thousand with the five loaves and two fishes in Mark 6:39, first commanded them to "sit down" upon the green grass. And it was those who really sat that were fed. Hallelujah!

This is simply because, the best way you can receive from your shepherd is by simply sitting under his ministry, just as the five thousand sat under our Lord Jesus Christ's ministry and were fully fed by Him to the glory of God the father. Amen!

Prayer/Declaration
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the blessed gift of the shepherd or man of God, that You have given me in Christ. I declare that I'm filled with all grace to be able to sit under the ministry of this my man of God and I reign gloriously in Christ in every area of my life in Jesus name. Amen!
