"The children which thou shalt have, after thou hast lost the other, shall say again in thine ears, The place is too strait for me: give place to me that I may dwell." (Isaiah 49:20 KJV)

Yesterday we saw that one key responsibility of a son is to preserve the integrity of his father and their entire family. And this is why fathers train up their children for them to grow into the likeness of their character.

Another key responsibility of a son is to build the heritage of his father.

Whereas the general understanding has been that sons are to have a heritage or inheritance from their father. The very meaning of the Hebrew word translated into son "bane," actually means to build the family name, estate or heritage. In other words sons are to bring expansion to everything that their father begins. While fathers usually lay a good foundation for their family, Sons are to build the super structure of their family. Thus, while fathers initiate, sons build on or expand that which fathers initiate or begin. Hallelujah!

This is why the word of God says, that the children that a father will have will say the place or their estate is too strait or small, he should give him place that he may dwell. The Hebrew word used for children over here is "bane" which means sons. Hallelujah!

Thus, the word of God says that the sons that the father will have will say in the father's ears that their current dwelling place is too small, and as a son, the father should give him fresh grounds to conquer and this will bring expansion unto the father's estate.

So are you a son in the house? If yes how are you expanding the estate of your father. Rise and build on the foundation of your father, because sons are the ones that build the family inheritance or heritage. Glory to God! Hallelujah!

Prayer/Declaration
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the insight that You have given me concerning the responsibility of sons to build the family heritage. I declare that as a son I build the heritage of my father to the Glory of God in Jesus name. Amen!
