SONS DEFEND THEIR FATHER'S NAM

SONS DEFEND THEIR FATHER'S NAME

"As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. 5. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate." (Psalm 127:4-5 KJV)

Concerning the role or responsibilities of sons with their fathers, the word of God also says that, the man that has many sons is always happy. And this is because his sons shall not be ashamed but shall speak with the enemy in the gate. Hallelujah!

This reveals yet another responsibility that Sons are to have with their father, which is to defend the name of their father.

This is one area that some folks with a perfectionist mindset have missed it. We must know that in as much as a father is spiritually matured and must be a person that is spiritually mature, fathers can still err. The fact that one is a father does not mean that he cannot err. And if he errs that does not mean he has ceased to be father. But usually sons with perfectionist mentality begin to withdraw or sometimes even join the enemies of their father to lambast him when he errs.

And this is why the word of God says, sons shall not be ashamed of their fathers but with boldness they shall speak with the enemy in the gate. Hallelujah!

Thus, sons don't sit down for people to attack the image of their father, but they rise to defend the name of their father. And sons are not only supposed to defend their father's name when they are right. But even when they err, while they may disapprove of their actions it is still the responsibility of sons to defend their father publicly and to pray for him secretly, rather than being ashamed of him and joining the enemy to lambast him. Glory to God! Hallelujah!

Prayer/Declaration
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the insight that You have given me today. I declare that as a son, I'm not ashamed of my father but I defend his name publicly and I am highly honoured in doing so in Jesus name. Amen!
