SONS FOLLOW THEIR FATHER
"For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel. 16. Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me." (1 Corinthians 4:15-16 KJV)
In 1 Corinthians 4:15-16, we see that after Apostle Paul declared unto the Corinthian Church that he is their father, he emphatically added that "wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me." In other words, because I am your father, don't follow any other person but follow me. Hallelujah!
Thus, it is the responsibility of sons to follow their father. And indeed sons are to follow their father.
But some Christians seem confused with these things, because they have not even been able to distinguish the ministry of the various instructors in their life from that of their father. Because both instructors and the father helps them in some way and it sometimes possess a challenge as to who is their father and hence who they should follow.
While the instructors may help you in some dimensions, the father is to raise you to become like himself and of course even better than who he is, especially when he is no more on the scene.
And this can only be achieved by the son diligently following after his father, to the glory of God in Jesus name. Amen!
Prayer/Declaration
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the understanding that You have given me concerning my responsibility of following after the father that you have appointed for me. I declare that I'm filled with all grace to diligently follow after my father in Jesus name. Amen!
