SONS GIVE UNTO THEIR FATHER

"A son honoureth his father, and a servant his master: if then I be a father, where is mine honour? and if I be a master, where is my fear? saith the Lord of hosts unto you, O priests, that despise my name. And ye say, Wherein have we despised thy name?" (Malachi 1:6 KJV)

We've learnt that while children are heirs that have not yet grown unto maturity and so are still nurtured by their father, sons on the other hand are heirs who have grown to maturity and so are able to take responsibilities together with their father.

Thus, while fathers give to their children, sons are to give to their fathers as a proof of their capacity to take responsibility and way of honouring their father. Hallelujah!

And in Malachi 1:6, the word of God says, a son honours his father and a servant his master. And God as a father further asked in that verse, "if then I be a father, where is mine honour?"

Now studying this scripture in context, we see that the Lord was rebuking the people of Israel concerning the hardness of their hearts in taking spiritual responsibilities, notably among these responsibilities were their givings, especially tithes and offerings (Malachi 3:8).

Thus, the honour that God was talking about over here was the giving of the people, especially the priest among the children of Israel. And from Malachi 3:10-12, we see that this honour of giving actually caused the people to walk in superabundance of financial grace.

Thus, by giving to your father, you demonstrate your honour unto him, and by such honour you are also honoured and you walk in superabundance of financial grace in Jesus name. Amen!

Prayer/Declaration
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the opportunity to honour my father by giving unto him. I declare that as I honour my father through my givings, I am also honoured and walk in superabundance of financial grace in Jesus name. Amen!
