THE BEST GIFTS

"But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way." (1 Corinthians 12:31 KJV)

The Word of God says that we should covet earnestly the best gifts and one of the the questions that people usually ask is what is the best gifts.

And people based on their preference for some of of the gifts just mention some of these gifts either prophecy, discerning of Spirits, etc as the best gifts. But that is not the Biblical presentation of these gifts.

In actual sense all the gifts are equally good and equally essential and none has preference over the other, as they are designed to compliment each other, so that the minister of God is well equipped by them all to fulfil the purpose of God.

Now what the word of God refers to as the best gift is the gift that is needed at any point in time in addressing any particular matter.

For instance praying for a person that is sick, the best gift becomes the gift of healing, whilst almost all the other gifts become complimenting in healing the sick. You require direction in life, the best gift becomes the gift of wisdom.

So the best gift is simply the gift that is needed at any point in time. And as we yield to the Holy Spirit He will manifest these gifts as and when needed in and through us to the Glory of God in Jesus name. Amen!

Prayer/Declaration
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the gifts of the Spirit that operate mightily in me. I declare that I manifest these gifts as and when needed in my life and ministry, and I see tremendous results in every area of my life in Jesus name. Amen!
