"No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier." (2 Timothy 2:4 KJV)

The word of God says that no man that engages in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who has chosen him to be a soldier.

This scripture also reveals to us the focus of every good soldier. And this is to please the one that appoints or chooses him to be a soldier.

And the good soldier please the one that has chosen him to be a soldier by finishing every task that is assigned unto him.

A soldier cannot please the one that appoints him as a soldier by bring excuse of why he could not accomplish his mission. As far as his lord or master is concerned the soldier must bring good report, which is the report of mission accomplished.

In the same vein, as good soldiers of the Lord, we also please our Lord by finishing every assignment that He appoints for us in Jesus name. Amen!

Prayer/Declaration
Heavenly Father, I thank You for enlisting me into Your army. I declare that I please You in all my engagements as a good soldier as I finish every task You've assigned unto me in Jesus name. Amen!
