"Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses." (1 Timothy 6:12 KJV)

Yesterday we saw that as soldiers of the Lord we are to engage in warfare for the Lord. And that this fight is a good fight for us. Hallelujah!

The word of God further describes this fight as a fight of faith. In order words it is a fight that involves our faith and also borders on our faith.

This faith is our confidence, trust or focus on God and His ability. Do you realize that the main aim of every weapon that the devil shoots at you is to reduce your confidence in God's ability and if possible cause you to disbelieve in the very existence and power of the Lord. Because of this the main focus of every spiritual warfare you engage in should be to guard your faith from every influence of the enemy and the weapon that you still use to do this is that same faith which is fundamentally based on the word of God.

This is why the Holy Spirit refers to this our good fight as a good fight of faith. Glory to God! Hallelujah!

Prayer/Declaration
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the faith You have given me in Christ Jesus my Lord. I declare that I fight the good fight of faith and make progress in every area of my life in Jesus name. Amen!
