THE GREAT COMMISSION
"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost" (Matthew 28:19 KJV)
Matthew 28:19-20 is popularly known as the Great Commission of the Church. That is the great commanded mission or assignment that every member of the Church must fulfil.
And this commanded mission is that we are to go and teach all nations about the gospel of Christ and after the teaching we must ensure we baptize or immerse them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost, which is the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Hallelujah!!
Now, we must know that this commission has a targeted end or a final point which is not merely teaching the nations, but rather baptizing or immersing them in the name of Christ. In other words we should name the name of Christ upon them, or make them a part of the family and of course the body of Christ which is the church. Hallelujah!
Thus, the focus of this commission is to get people born again and established in the family of Christ. And this is a commanded mission that God has given to every member of the body of Christ, which we are to respectively do in the various nations that we find ourselves.
So everyone of us must rise and fulfil this mission to the Glory of God in Jesus name. Amen!
Prayer/Declaration
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the Great Commission which You have given unto the Church. I declare that as a member of the Church, I'm filled with all grace to fulfil this mission to the glory of God in Jesus name. Amen!
