THE HOLY SPIRIT IS THE EA...

THE HOLY SPIRIT IS THE EARNEST OF OUR INHERITANCE

"In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, 14. Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory." (Ephesians 1:13-14)

The word of God says when we trusted or believed the gospel, we were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession

Earnest is from the Greek word 'arrhabon,' which means a pledge or guarantee, that is the part of a payment money that is given in advance as security for the rest.

So the Holy Spirit is the part of our inheritance which is given unto us as children of God on this earth even as we await the release of the full inheritance.

But what is this inheritance that the Holy Spirit is its part payment. The inheritance is God Himself. For God told Papa Abraham that He, God is his shield and exceeding great reward (Genesis 15:1). In other words what God really wanted Abraham to possess was Himself. Thus, God was the actual promise unto Abraham in the person of Jesus and Isaac was only a shadow or type of that actual promise or inheritance.

In reality, the purpose of God is to fill everyone of us with Himself, so that we will fully be one with Him, even as now we are one with His Spirit.

Thus, the Holy Spirit has been given unto us by God as His assurance unto us that we are for Him and in due time in His return in the person of Jesus Christ, when He comes to receive us unto Him, He will fully fill us with Himself. Glory to God! Hallelujah!

Prayer/Declaration

Heavenly Father, I thank You for the gift of the Holy Spirit in the inside of me. I declare that the Holy Spirit is the earnest of my inheritance until the redemption of my whole being. Glory to God! Hallelujah!
