THE HOLY SPIRIT IS THE SEVEN SPIRITS OF GOD

"The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him— the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the LORD." (Isaiah 11:2 KJV)

Isaiah 11:2 gives seven different ways in which the Spirit of God operated in the Old Testament. This is what Revelation 4:5 and Revelation 5:6 refer to as the seven Spirits of God.

Some people have misunderstood the Seven Spirits of God to be different from the Holy Spirit. But that is not so.

These Seven Spirits represents the full or complete operations of the Holy Spirit in the Old Testament. But because the Holy Spirit was not full revealed in the Old Testament as a person, the Old Testament folks only related with him in either one or some combinations of these operations, but no one was ever fully filled with the fullness of the Spirit to experience all these seven dimensions of the Spirit.

These seven operations are Lordship or dominion, wisdom, understanding, counsel, might, knowledge and the fear of the Lord.

As already indicated, these were seven different operations of the Spirit in the Old Testament, but the day we received the person of the Holy Spirit in this New Testament era, we actually received all these seven dimensions as the fullness of the Holy Spirit in us. Glory to God! Hallelujah!

Prayer/Declaration

Heavenly Father I thank You for the insight that You have given me concerning the Seven Spirits of God. I declare that the Holy Ghost in me operates in all these seven dimensions within me in Jesus name. Amen!
