THE HOLY SPIRIT OUR ALL ROUND COMFORTER

"And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever" (John 14:16 KJV)

In our Lord Jesus' discourse with his disciples concerning His departure unto the Father, He informed them that He will not leave them as orphans, but will pray to the Father so that He will give them another Comforter, that will abide with them forever. And he continued for them to know that, that Comforter was the Holy Spirit. Hallelujah!

The way that our Lord Jesus Christ introduced the Holy Spirit unto the disciples communicates some deep things about the nature of the Holy Spirit and His ministry to us as believers.

Our Lord Jesus Christ called Him "another Comforter," which is from the Greek word "Allos Parakletos" which actually means another Comforter of the same kind.

Thus, according to our Lord Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit is another comforter of His own kind. And by this He meant that the Holy Spirit is exactly as Himself and actually one with Him, even as they both are part of the Trinity: that is God eternally existent in three persons of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. And that His ministry to us as believers is to give comfort to us, just as our Lord Jesus Christ gave comfort unto the people of His days by teaching them, Healing them, feeding them and providing for all their spiritual and physical needs. Hallelujah!

So just as our Lord Jesus did all these things and many more for the people of His days, so has He given us the Holy Spirit to do these same things for us and to be our all round Comforter in every area of our lives in Jesus name. Amen!

Prayer/Declaration
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the gift of Your Precious Holy Spirit, who You have given to me as my Comforter. I declare that I fully yield to the full ministry of the Holy Spirit in every area of my life in Jesus name. Amen!
