THE HOLY SPIRIT SHOWS US THINGS TO COME

"Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come." (John 16:13 KJV)

Our Lord Jesus Christ declared that when the Holy Spirit comes He will take the things that belong to Him and shall show them unto us. And He shall also show us things to come.

These two responsibilities reaffirm the ministry of the Holy Spirit as our guide or teacher. As a guide He shows us the things that pertain unto our Lord Jesus Christ and the kingdom of God and also gives us foresight into future events.

Thus, as children of God there may be certain things that we may not naturally have any clue about as far us our future is concerned but the Holy Ghost shows us these things and guides us towards their fulfilment.

But one key challenge with most Christians is our willingness and patience to follow after His leadings. Most times we are tempted to do what we like or think to be right in our own eyes, as against the things that the Holy Ghost shows us. And this is what brings unnecessary issues to people.

But if only we make up our minds to follow the leadings of the Spirit as He shows us the things that pertain unto our future, He guides us according to the glorious counsel of God for our lives in Jesus name. Amen!

Prayer/Declaration
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the Holy Spirit whom You have given me as my guide. I declare that as my guide, He shows me things to come and I willingly follow after His guidance as He leads me towards the fulfilment of all that He shows me to the Glory of God in Jesus name. Amen!
