THE SPIRIT OF THE FEAR OF THE LORD

"The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him— the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the LORD." (Isaiah 11:2 KJV)

The seventh operational dimension of the Holy Spirit was the Spirit of the fear of the Lord.

This fear talks about the reverence, respect or love that you have for God that makes you to obey His word.

In the Old Testament a typical example of a person who operated with the Spirit of the fear of the Lord was Joseph. This was seen in his dealings with Potiphar's wife and also His reconciliation with His brethren who had wanted to kill him, but instead of that, sold him into slavery.

One thing that must be noticed is that, it does not take mere human effort to fear the Lord. It takes the grace of God, by the empowerment of the Holy Spirit.

It is the Holy Spirit in you who causes you to see the greatness of God for which you develop that reverential fear for Him in your walk with Him. It is the Holy Spirit who causes you to say no to the things that God does not want you to do and it is the same Holy Spirit that causes you to do the very things that God wants you to do. And He fulfils these things in you as you yield unto His leadership and have that constant fellowship with Him. Glory to God! Hallelujah!

Prayer/Declaration
Heavenly Father, I thank you for Your Holy Spirit who operates in me as the Spirit of the fear of the Lord. I declare that I fully yield to the Holy Spirit and walk in Your reverential fear everyday of my life in Jesus name. Amen!
