"The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him— the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the LORD." (Isaiah 11:2 KJV

The third operational dimension of the Holy Spirit in the Old Testament was the Spirit of Understanding.

Understanding is closely linked to wisdom in the sense that whilst wisdom is insight into reality, understanding is caprice or intelligence, which is achieved by using wisdom to interpret and apply knowledge. Thus, wisdom forms the basics of understanding and a man of understanding is definitely a man of wisdom as well.

Thus, in the word of God most of the people that were known to have wisdom like King Solomon, Bezaleel, Aholiab, Daniel and his friends, were also known to have understanding. And this is because of the link between wisdom and understanding

Thus, the Spirit of Understanding is the Spirit of intelligence, which is the combined work of wisdom and knowledge.  And the Holy Spirit of God who is given to us as New Testament saints also operates in us, as our Spirit of understanding or intelligence, so that we excel and stand out in every field of our endeavour in Jesus name. Amen!

Prayer/Declaration
Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your Holy Spirit who operates in me as my Spirit of understanding. I declare that I'm super intelligent in every field of my endeavour and I stand out in all my dealings in Jesus name. Amen!
