WHAT IS THE LEVEL OF YOUR OBED

WHAT IS THE LEVEL OF YOUR OBEDIENCE

"And Samuel said, Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams." (1 Samuel 15:22 KJV)

We've learnt that the fundamental way by which a son honours his father is through his absolute obedience to the father. And it was by absolute obedience that even our Lord Jesus Christ obeyed the Father even to the point of death (Philippians 2:5-11).

Whereas there are several other means by which you can honour your father, the fundamental way to honour him is by your obedience unto him.

No wonder the word of God says, "to obey is better than sacrifice and to hearken than the fat of rams." Thus, the best form of sacrificial honour you can render unto your father is your obedience.

So what is the level of your obedience unto your father, to what extent can you obey him. Will you still obey if his direction or instruction unto you is going to cost you a lot, even though that is God's counsel for you?

While sometimes this obedience may be painful to endure, we ought to know that, it is always for our own good, just as through His obedience, our Lord Jesus Christ was exalted to the right hand of the Glory of God the Father.

Thus, the level of our obedience determines the honour we give unto our father, and that honour in turn determines the level to which we are exalted with Him in glory. Hallelujah!

Prayer/Declaration
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the insight You have given me again into the relationship between my obedience and the honour I give unto my father. I declare that I'm filled with the grace to obey my father and I'm highly honored by the same in Jesus name. Amen!
