‭“My food,” said Jesus, “is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work." (John 4:34 NIV)

We've seen that the cooperate will of God for all humanity is that men would be saved and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

And our Lord Jesus also declared in our devotional text that His food was to do the will of him who sent him and to finish His work.

And we know from 1 Timothy 2:4, that that will is the salvation and growth of all men in Christ. Thus, our Lord Jesus Christ declared that the food that he eats is soul winning.

But what did he mean by His food is soul winning? By this declaration, our Lord Jesus implied that His very life depended on soul winning. Thus, He could not live without it. It was His necessary food as a God-man.

This was the kind of importance that our Lord Jesus Christ placed on soul winning and as His followers and missionaries that He has sent us into our various fields, this is the same kind of importance that He wants us to place on soul winning.

So the question is: What is your own food as a Child of God? What importance have you placed on soul winning? Do you see soul winning as your necessary food? Whiles this is used figuratively, it should communicate the kind of importance that we must place on soul winning.

Thus, if you eat a three course meal everyday, then at least everyday you are to reach out to about three people. And this was why our Lord Jesus Christ went about on a daily basis teaching, and preaching and healing. This was simply because Soul winning was His necessary food. So you too, let soul winning be your daily food and you will see the impact you will create for the Kingdom of God. Glory to God! Hallelujah!

Prayer/Declaration
Heavenly Father, I thank You for revealing to me the importance of soul winning. I declare that my food is to do the will of God the father, which is the salvation of all men. I declare that I'm enabled by God's grace to fulfill this mission in Jesus name. Amen!
