YOU ARE THE SALT OF THE EARTH
"You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people's feet." (Matthew 5:13 ESV)
The word of God says, we are the salt of the earth, but if the salt looses its taste, how can its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people's feet.
So we are the salt of the earth, and as salt our work on this earth is to preserve the earth and give it a good taste. And it is for this work that God has endowed us with various gifts, abilities and talents so that we can effectively fulfil this work of preserving the earth and giving it a good taste.
But the word further says, if the salt, loses its taste it cannot be used for anything but it is thrown out and men trample upon it.
Thus, as a child of God, your relevance on this earth is based on you fulfilling that work that God has appointed for you to do in preserving this earth and giving it a good taste. It is by these things that the world will see your value, for them to accept you and to celebrate you. If the world see no value in you, the world will just reject and trample over you
This is why you cannot afford to be ordinary as a child of God. And it is the gifts, talents and abilities of God in you that will cause you to stand out for the world to see your value, and celebrate you. These gifts, talents and abilities of God in you are what the word of God refers to as your taste and that which the world desires in you for them to accept and celebrate you
So from today fulfil your ministry of preserving the world and giving it a good taste by putting the gifts, talents and abilities of God in you to work. Glory to God! Hallelujah!
Prayer/Declaration
Heavenly Father, I thank you for making me the salt of this earth. I declare that as the salt of this earth I preserve the earth and give it a good taste as I put Your gifts, talents and abilities in me to work in Jesus name. Amen
