YOU WILL NOT BE TEMPTED ABO...
YOU WILL NOT BE TEMPTED ABOVE YOUR ABILITY
"There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it." (1 Corinthians 10:13 KJV)
We've seen from previous devotions that there are challenges that the Lord Himself allows His sons and daughters to go through for their glorification and spiritual capacity building.
We've seen that this was the same case with our Lord Jesus's cross, who for the joy or glory ahead of Him, endured the cross, temptation, trial or test that was appointed for Him.
And in like manner every son or daughter of God have their own unique cross or temptation that they will bear which are all designed by God for their glorification.
But the challenge is that most times people who do not understand this facts about the Christian life and the purpose of God for allowing them to go through some trials complain as though what they are going through are so unbearable. Whilst with the natural this may be factual, the word of God says God will not allow anybody to be tempted, tried or tested beyond the capacity that God has given to him or her.
Thus, whatever challenge that you face, know that God foresaw the capacity that He has given you and it was based on that capacity that He allowed the challenge to come.
So instead of seeing the greatness of the challenge you are faced with, rather see the greatness of the ability of God in you, which has been given unto you to overcome that challenge. And put that ability to work and you will have mastery over that challenge in Jesus name. Amen!
Prayer/Declaration
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the challenges you have appointed for me to endure. I declare that Your ability is mightily at work in me to overcome everyone of these challenges and I reign over them all in Jesus name. Amen!
