YOUR STRENGTH IN ENDURING ...

YOUR STRENGTH IN ENDURING YOUR CROSS

"Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God." (Hebrews 12:2 KJV)

The word of God says that our Lord Jesus, for the joy that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising the shame and is now set on the right hand of the throne of God. Hallelujah!

What I want us to know by the Spirit is the motivation that our Lord Jesus Christ had in enduring the cross. What motivated Him to endure such a painful experience. What was His main strength that made Him to endure the cross?

The word of God says, His motivation or strength was the joy that was set before Him. It was this joy, which encompasses the glory that was going to be revealed unto Him and of course the souls He was going to have as His lovely brethren or family that gave Him the strength to endure the cross.

In like manner, in our own lives our motivation or strength in enduring our own cross should be the joy or reward that is set before us. This joy is the earthly blessing and Heavenly rewards we are going to receive on account of such endurance.

But have you ever thought of the reality that any time that you are tempted by the devil not to endure your cross or do that which God wants you to do, it is this earthly blessing and Heavenly reward that the devil wants to prevent you from receiving. And it is God's earnest desire for you to enjoy these things that makes Him remind you of your need to endure your cross, so that you can freely enjoy these earthly blessings and Heavenly rewards He has appointed for you.

So be motivated by this joy that is set before you as you patiently endure your own cross in Jesus name. Glory to God! Hallelujah!

Prayer/Declaration
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the understanding You have given me concerning my strength in endurance, which is the joy that is set before me. I declare that I'm motivated and strengthen by this joy that You have set before me even as I patiently endure the cross You have appointed for me in Jesus name. Amen!
